The same river twice
Quietly struggling for open vistas, this series of drawings explores the ability of images to make present. They come out of a desire for landscapes and perspectives that express vital abstractions such as distance, memory, possibility, and presence. The drawings embrace both a fantasy of return, and the unexpected delight of change and variation. They revel in the mystery of light revealed through matter.
